Anyone For A Movie?
By Mike Krsticevic | February 20, 2008
How would you feel if no matter what you “touched”, it seemed to always turn into “gold”?
How would you feel if you always achieved the goals you set out to achieve?
Would you walk around with an “air of confidence” - a feeling of success? Would you know that whatever you turned your mind to in the future you could achieve it?
One of my favourite sources of inspiration comes from movies. I’m sure many of you do to.
Whether it’s a romantic comedy that reminds you to love without reservation, to have fun and to appreciate the important things in your life. Or whether its a ‘mucho’ movie that gets you all psyched up and “bullet proof” and makes you want to go out and take on a whole army by yourself.
Whatever it is, I believe there is much to be gained from making a list of the movies that inspire you and taking the time to re-hire one of those movies (from time to time) from your local movie store and ‘invest’ a couple of hours to entertain and to inspire yourself.
Why not make it a regular feature in your “inspiration re-fuelling calendar” (more on this in another post), grab some pop corn and snuggle up with a loved one or enjoy the movie with close friends.
Here’s a list of three of my favourite inspirational movies:
- Dead Poet’s Society;
- October Sky; and
- Good Will Hunting.
Watch the 6 minute clip below taken from the movie, “Facing the Giants”. I’ll outline the lessons I learnt from that clip in my next blog post.
What are some of your favourite inspirational movies? Send me your comments.
